Nova launcher stopped sending Gmail badge notifications

I got badge notifications for my gmail, missed calls, and text messages. Today I did a restore back up using nova launcher and for some reason I'm only getting badges for messages and missed calls but not for Gmail. Is there anyway to get it back?

No, it's on. I still get the normal notifications on the top left of the screen when getting emails. Just no badge. I checked teslaunread plugin and the Gmail has the check mark too.

Bump.. I'm still not getting any unread counts for new gmail messages. Has this happened to anyone who resolved it?

It's happening to me now that I updated. Also I can't get the sms badge to work, it only worked with go sms and I deleted that.

I finally figured it out. Click the TeslaUnread Plugin app that you downloaded. Go to Gmail and click the account you want badges for. You have to select the box that you want badges for. I chose Primary because that's the primary inbox. Voila, it finally works again. As for SMS, is your SMS checked on the tesla app?

I checked that and sms is checked and gmail settings as well.. Not sure why its doing this. Hopefully its fixed soon.

I also have no Badge notification on my SMS icon when receiving texts. anyone have an update on this?

Seems to be working fine for me. Maybe reinstall Tesla Unread?

I am Using the free Nova Launcher and noticed this as well. The Email, Msg, etc icons never show a number of missed notifications anymore. They do show up in the notification bar, but nothing on the icons in the home screen

Not sure if it works with the free Nova - but you need Tesla Unread to see the unread notifications.
