I bought one of these just to see if it lived up to its hype. Long story, short: IT DOES!!!
The available app uses a Bluetooth Low Energy connection to control the intensity and trigger the flash. Their focus is iPhones, but they did release an Android application and more importantly, a Android SDK!! So maybe some of the Android developers can include this in their camera and/or utility applications (torch, etc).
If you take lots of pics with your S5, check it out!!
