November update

Does it have to have a sim card installed in order to receive the monthly updates? I switched back to my Note 5 recently but still connect my pixel to wifi and download app updates occasionally.

No you don't need a sim card installed to get any of the updates.... it'll update just fine over wifi. In fact in some cases you'll get the updates quicker ;-)

My Pixel XL just downloaded the November updated and prompted me to reboot! Shows as November 1 patch

Its been running for like 30 minutes. Hasn't crashed yet, but I can't really judge from that. Hoping to get a Pixel 3 in a few days...

Still have not received my Nov update as of yet. Running the original Pixel

Terrible that Google is falling behind on the original pixel. And if it is attributed to battery draining issues or whatever, they should know their own software enough to be able to not cause this much of a delay

Same here l haven’t gotten the Nov. ota yet either. Still got a chance getting it later this week

I just noticed my patch level is "November 1st". Though I received it on the 20th.

I haven't gotten the November patch yet either on AT&T, but I'm not worried..... I'm just glad they're taking the time to make it right before sticking it on our phones. I had a Moto phone before the pixel..... great phone, but terrible software and security support. I cringed every time I saw an update pending....we didn't get them often, but when we did they were often screwed up and Moto did little to nothing to fix the problems. I had to go online and find workarounds....... that's no way to treat customers and is the reason I bought a pixel and will never own another Moto phone :-(

Yup ,The update isn't going to show the date you received/installed the OTA there
So that's normal.

I'm still waiting on mine

We'll get it ;-) and we're going to be getting some cool new features in the coming year that'll be handed down from the 3...... another nice benefit of owning a pixel :-D

November 26 Missouri USA 2030 hours. Just got the security update for this Pixel. Listed as November 1 update.

Just woke up to seeing the November update on my Pixel 1. BTW, this Pixel is a CLNR from Verizon; my original Pixel went into bootloops earlier this month. This one is truly "like new." It's been stable and the battery life and usage is better than my original.

So glad your second OG Pixel is working so we'll! And yay for the November update!

Didn't wake up to it, but it was there on manual check in Denver on Verizon.
