Now Android File Trasfer Unable to connect to phone on Mac

My Nexus is rooted and now Android File Transfer keeps giving me an error message, "unable to connect to device."

Is there another app or another way for me to transfer files from my Mac to my Nexus? Besides bluetooth or getting a pc...

No, I don't believe there is. Is USB Debugging checked under Developer Options?

I was afraid of that! Yeah, debugging is enabled.

Disable it, and let me know what happens . Also reboot the device; if you're rooted/unlocked and are familiar with using recovery, also wipe cache/dalvik.

You can transfer files using Air Droid. I hate plugging in my phone to the usb ports everytime I wanna download or upload something to and from the phone. Plus, it keeps it charged. You're welcome.

just for conversations sake, i NEVER turn off usb debugging and i never have mtp connection problems to my mac. dunno what the deal is with that
