rooted to JB and everything works great except i now get 1x where i live and i used to get 3g here. it does switch when i go into a regular sprint market to 3g just fine. updated profile and PRL and reflashed ROM. i dont know???

Sounds like you might have gotten a bad download do a wipe of all data and wipe cache and delviak cache and try again or maybe a different ROM and Kernel unless you stick with the Kernel that comes with your ROM. Oh and flash the GAPPS.

Other than that I have no idea as I have not had this problem.
