So after my Thread comparing the Xoom with the Playbook, I purchased my Xoom yesterday. Lots of learning to do.

I linked my Gmail account to my Xoom just as I did with my Epic. I was hoping everything would sync up, but no such luck. (yet)

Upon 1st impression, the weight of the Xoom can tend to get heavy after a while.

I have had some Force Closes. Pandora especially. It just wont open at all.

Currently connected on my WiFi HotSpot thru my Sprint Samsung Epic.

I must say I do like the device and what it has to offer. a bit more polishing and it could very well be a perfect device. Accessories are hard to find. Everywhere and I mean Everywhere! has Apple products. I had to order a case through Ebay because no store had one. VZW charges almost $40 for a rubber back cover and I thought that was ridiculous.

I am going to dig more into the device. I wish Motorola had given more in the box. The only thing that was in there was the Xoom and charger and a USB cord. The instruction book is only about 8 pages. They could have very well done more for $600.

Anyone with tips, hints, anything, you want to share with me to enhance my experience, please do!

Thanks!!!

hmm! Your Now What was like my Now What... lol

I went to YouTube and searched for Xoom hints and Hacks and learned a lot! I actually enjoy the Tablet now that I have customized the screens and downloaded some much needed Apps. The weight, fingerprints and lack of Apps can be discouraging but at the end of the day I love the device.

All of the Apps I purchased for my Droid X synced onto my Xoom ? Not that I have installed all of them.

I was seriously thinking about getting rid of the Xoom for an IPOD2 only because I know my way around the IPOD system. The Apps are definitely there although most of them do not interest me. The appearance is nice and the weight is more desirable - but at the end of the day it?s an oversized IPOD Touch (IMHO)! NOT COOL! hahaha

After going searching YouTube you will begin to appreciate the Xoom more? Again congrates!

OH, My Droid X will scratch the Epics SUPERAMOOLED<--- (thats a spelling!) screen up!! hahaa

The xoom will fit in most ipad sleeves, I'm using a switcheasy trig sleeve/stand made for ipad and xoom fits perfectly. For pandora you have to use the nook color version, the apk is posted in one of the threads a search should bring it up. Also motorola has a user guide app for the xoom that has tips hikts and tutorials Get Help Center app

Also using epic and xoom and wmoor004 u can't scratch the samoled because its also rocking gorilla glass! And my slide out qwerty and 4g speeds will make knock the alphabet outta ur droid. lol

Did your xoom come preloaded with music????

Mine came preloaded with a few songs. If you want to add your own, you can hook the Xoom to your windows-based pc and just drag the songs into the music folder. If you have Windows 7 it should open the media player when you connect and, give you the choice of which songs you want through media player.
