Now Playing has disappeared from lock screen

Has anyone else had this issue? My now playing music icon has disappeared from my lock screen. I used it all the time to try to find out songs that I was hearing etc. It's turned on, I cleared the cache and restarted the phone and the little icon still will not appear on my lock screen anymore.

I usually keep this off but will turn it on and see if it works for me and report back.

I can't seem to get Now Playing to work at all. Have everything toggled on and no songs are recognized and no search button. I cleared data and cache on Android System Intelligence, rebooted and still nothing.


Edit: I just left the house and noticed Now Playing seems to be working again. Unfortunately I'm listening to the radio so it's familiar songs that are recognized. I'll try and keep an eye out for the search button...

Just tried mine and it appears to be working fine on P8P with April system updates.

Thanks guys. Yeah mine is just gone and it will not show up. I do not use always on display. But even if I wake up the screen it would pop up. It's completely gone now

FYI as you troubleshoot the issue: I don't use AOD either.

Hey I ran into this same thing, very annoying. I tried all the settings on and off, couldn't get it.

Found a post on another forum to go into settings -> apps -> pixel launcher and clear it's cache, then restart the phone.

Did the trick for me!

Good suggestion, also in the past I've noticed having developer settings on somehow messed with Now Playing
