So, so much for "preorder deals". Now Samsung offers the double storage option for "free" but they also reduced trade-in amounts.

It's Samsung. We knew there would be price changes in the near future. Sucks to see that dbl storage now lol!

I'm sticking with the 256 bc I'm not paying close to $600 for 512 either way when I paid $350 for that last year. I know everything is more expensive, but I'd be paying for storage I don't use.

It's worth people doing the math though. Discounts and rewards programs fluctuate like Sammy's prices, so some may come out on top.

My pre-order trade-in for my S25U was $900 and now it is $720. But I get a free memory upgrade.
In my book they are pretty much the same......It's just a marketing ploy.

Where is the double storage deal? I didn't see it when I looked on the Samsung US site.... Trade in for my 23+ went down to $270 from $400 - I'm glad I pulled the trigger in the pre order.

That's all Samsung does, marketing ploy. It's always around the same cost just different promo. Not a bad idea they get to target all audiences this way, some want lowest out the door cost which was me this time and some want a perk such as more storage.

Reality was that I used only about 220 out of 512 on the S25U but that was because I had a lot of junk files and Flac music files so after deleting some of the junk 256 is adequate for me.
