Now what?

I finally got my phone rooted yesterday, and for what? I can't figure out how to install the clockwork recovery and now everytime I plug my phone in via USB CABLE, my phone freaks out-opening voicemail, dialing numbers,switching screens and opening apps by itself and YES, USB DEBUGGING IS ENABLED. I gotta say I'm a lil discouraged and mad that i got this far and can't figure it out.
