Nvidia Shield Wifi killing battery life

Wanted to throw this out to the community and check if somebody has been facing issues similar to what i have been facing. My Nvidia Shield Wifi seems to be eating up a broad chunk of my battery life even though the system is not being used. In fact leaving it overnight fully charged would lead it to be less than half its battery remaining the next day in the morning?

I have just downloaded a stability update from Nvidia and am yet to see if that resolves the issue though.
