Is there any way to disable this? I have keypad tones disabled and everything but any time I end a call it makes a very very loud beep.

I don't make/receive a huge number of calls on my "phone" but can't recall noticing an end-of-call beep. Of course, it's possible that I am just not paying attention. :)

Are we talking about the stock Phone app, or calls made with Hangouts or WhatsApp?

Connected to a Bluetooth device (earbuds, car audio system), or Android Auto?

Incoming calls only? Outgoing calls only? Or, both?

Mine does this as well. Very annoying. My original Pixel XL did it, too. Many people had said they disabled phone access from the Snapchat app and that fixed the issue. Problem is, I've never used Snapchat and don't have it installed. I guess it could be due to another third-party app that has phone access, I just haven't taken the time yet to go through all of them.

Hmm, didn't consider a 3rd party app. I have true caller installed.

It's there at the end of a call. I use around 1.5k to 2k mins a month and can confirm it's there.

I don't know of any way to disable it.

Yep. An Android "feature" since at least Lollipop. I wish I could turn this off, or at least control the volume of the beep.

Come to think of it stock Android is kind of lame when it comes to controlling sound events like ringers, notifications, media volume controls, etc. Why in the world is ringer volume and notifications volume tied together?

Another "feature" since Marshmallow is the ascending volume on ringing. Would like to get rid of that too.

Not sure. For me the beep isn't a huge deal since I have the phone away from my ear or if I end a call in my truck it beeps on the phone and doesn't pass it to the speakers.

Thanks for the info everyone! Hadn't thought of using a separate phone app - I've always used stock. Any recommendations?

Like when I'm calling someone and the ring fades in and out? I've noticed that on my Pixel 2 and it's kind annoying.

Some apps have permmissons to "Telephone" . Try to block this permmission app by app and check to see if this works.

I get this as well with the stock phone app. Especially loud if I've got it on speakerphone. I have to be careful to remove my bt headset before hanging up a call. Pixel 2 (not XL).
