Odd Headphone Z3 issue

I have the standard Sony earphones that came with the Z3, and also use some Philips headphones. Both have the button that pauses and plays each track, and also allows 2 clicks to move one song forward, and 3 to go back a song. Suddenly, both 2 and 3 clicks only moves to the next song, and never back. Done the usual restarts and so on...

And ideas?

Do you have Sony's SmartKey app installed? You can use it to set what the clicks do.

Just in addition, and in case it helps anyone else, I un-installed the SmartKey app., and the phone seems to have gone back to working as it should - it seems whatever software is used just needed a kick-start.
