odd text messaging app issue???

i just tried deleting some conversations in my stock text messaging app, and about half of them deleted just fine and the other half is acting weird. the conversations were deleted, but there is still a icon for that particualr contact showing up. as if there was a conversation. when i click on it, it is indeed blank but i cant get rid of them?! ive tried clearing cache and forcing stop, rebooting. sending another message to that person and re deleting. nothing works... any ideas?

edit* disregard, i was deleting the conversation, not the thread... figured it out. amatuer mistake, lol
