ODIN available anywhere other than ACS?

From what I have seen, the GPS issue may be a part of the Gingerbread build. It is an issue for me as well since I use the GPS with runkeeper anywhere from 5-6 times a week.

I could be wrong though as I Odin'd back to EC05 and redid the update after getting a lock and I just checked and it is accurate within 6m. Though won't know if it holds its lock until I use it tomorrow on my next run.

Updated to GB manually. Had a good lock on the GPS while updating, so we'll see how that goes.

How should I re-install all 60 or so apps that I had before wiping the phone? And is there any way to root the phone to somehow get rid of the bloatware on the phone?

For your apps, since you were stock, you will have to go one by one and reinstall them. If you are rooted, you can use Titanium Backup to backup and restore in the future.

As for the rooting use these two youtube videos in this order.

Thanks. I wound up manually re-loading. It was an opportunity to leave some unused/rarely used apps off the phone. I'm sure the next several days I'll realize how many things are missing after doing a factory reset...
I will go take a look at those videos. I really want to be able to get rid of some of the unnecessary bloat. Thanks again.

Quick question. I did what the 1st video required. In the 2nd video, there are 2 files to download. QBKing77 refers to the 2nd file as su.zip, but it doesn't have that name. (It's actually named su-3.0-efgh-signed.zip) Does it need to be renamed to su.zip before I install it to the sd card?

EDIT: I watched his video again, all the way to the end, and he mentioned the filename just as it was downloaded - su-3-efgh-signed.zip , so I installed it to the sd card WITHOUT renaming it, and everything worked perfectly.

Now, how can I get rid of some of the bloatware on this phone? Thanks again lamountain, for walking me through this.
