Off topic, cargo shorts

I'm retired so I can do wear pretty much what I please. At this time of year cargo shorts are a drive daily choice.
So? My wife picked up a new pair.
They feature a separate TECH POCKET. First time I've encountered such a thing. (of course I live in the extreme boonies!)
The tech pocket is just above the side cargo pocket. My v10 sits on the side of my leg. Secure and. Safe.. I had tried using the cargo pockets but the phone is loose rather than snug. Wonder if other attire will follow the trend?

Yes the front pocket binds when I sit.. Others are too small or too loose.
