Official clear ring case, actual trash.

I've had the clear ring case since late september, and the ring strap just broke off the top part.

It wasn't abused, just used as you would expect a ring to be. And it wasn't even on there permanently because I've also got a silicone one which I like and a official leather one which is kind of meh. Obviously I'm a sample size of one, but looking at the ring part after the fact, it is pretty poorly designed and this kind of failure seems inevitable.

Anyway, I just wanted to put this here in case anyone is looking to spend their money on the thing.

I'm sorry you had such a short lifespan of your ring case. Are there any similar cases you've seen that look more durable?

Yeah, the silicone case has a different mounting system for it's ring which looks more robust, so hopefully we won't hit the same issue with it.

I like my purple/pink silicone case, but I paid extra money and waited extra time for a bespoke edition... sometimes I want to show it off!

I just got my Flip 4 and I’m looking for a case. I definitely want to protect this phone. Of course, it is such a pretty phone I hate to cover it up, but I would hate to damage it more. Recommendations for a case appreciated. I have used ring cases with other phones and like that the ring helps me hold the phone.

Congratulations on your new phone. What color did you go with? What kind of case are you looking for? Do you want one thin or one with a lot of protection?

I got the purple phone…very pretty. I prefer a thin case that is less bulky. I also like ring because that makes the phone much easier to hold.

The OEM silicone cases with ring is fairly slim def alot slimmer than the leather case.
The leather case is nice but it's much thicker and the flap that protects the hinge sometimes doesn't glide and folds at the hinge.

I agree that the official Sillicone case is probably the best choice if you want a ring. It's the best of the official cases (the leather kind of sucks in my opinion).But I'm not sure I'd recommend any official case now... They are very expensive if you are paying full price, and after my experience with the clear case I don't really have faith that any of them are well engineered. Honestly I don't thingk Samsung accessories are very high quality in general...

I'm running w mine naked but if you're looking for a clear case I'd look at Ringke .. as others mentioned here, the silicone with the ring would be the other case I'd recommend, although it would hide the phone a little bit, but you can always get one to match that purple.. I have one available but it won't match well with your phone color ...

Well I ordered a clear ring case from Amazon. If it’s not good, I’ll order the official silicon case in purple. My little phone is so pretty I just hate to cover it up.

I bought the Samsung light blue silicon w/ring and removed the ring. I could not find a decent 3rd party silicon case that did not cover the volume buttons and Samsung's was the only one I could find that did. Just a personal preference thing for me.

I ended up exchanging the clear for silicone last years Flip³.

It just didn't feel right.

I got the silicone for the Flip⁴.

Just started using the OEM silicone case with ring and overall yer right I think they're better than the leather cases, just took bulky and it's annoying the hinge flap sometimes doesn't glide and gets folded when you open the device. Super annoying.
