I called my nearest corporate location, he said they can't hold onto phones for customers (damn it) but they open at 7 - and they're the first store to open in Minneapolis tomorrow. Needless to say I'm jumping on the bus at 6:50 tomorrow morning to get there as early as I can.

It's definitely legit, as all of Verizon's Twitter accounts have confirmed 12/15. Besides all of those email 'sign-ups' are just excuses for you to give them your email address, so they can send you ads.
