Anyone know if there is one currently offered? Haven't seen anything other then aftermarket ones

This is pure speculation here but I don't think there is going to be one.

*EDIT: Shouldn't this be in the accessories section?

I *think* I read there would only be one official battery, ie. no extended offering. I think it may have had to do with NFC.

I don't think it has to do with the NFC antenna being in the battery as the Galaxy Nexus has an extended battery. I think it has to do with Samsung offering the wireless charging battery cover later on.

I ordered this today:

Amazon.com: Anker? Astro 5600mAh Backup External Battery Pack and Charger with Flashlight for Apple: iPhone 4 / 4S / 3GS, iPad, iPad 2, iPod; Most Android Phones: (Motorola: Triumph, Verizon Droid Razr, X2, Bionic / Samsung: Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S II

I've been looking at this for awhile but hesitated because with my current phone I carry a spare battery instead. Someone on this site recommended Anker to me about a month ago. He recommended the one below, but I went with the first one because it can also be used with my iPad, is smaller, provides 22 hours instead of 10 (if I recall correctly) and comes with the A/C charger.

Both have excellent customer reviews.

Not official, but there are eBay ones around 2800 mAh without a new battery cover. I think I saw a 3150 mAh one as well. Not sure if you want to risk it or not.

Ones from a reputable brand probably wont go that high. I'm going to guess 2500 mAh or so.
