Official full SBF 2.3.34 available (Froyo)

OK... I pulled the battery, held down the volume button and reinstalled the battery.

It rebooted into bootloader and RSDLite said 100% finished.

I rebooted the phone again and it still just loops the animation.

Damnit.

so was using bootstrap recovery to swap between liberty to APEX and its stuck in the apex boot loop...so using the downloaded sbf (found at mydroidworld) and that rsd light program...i'm able to flash..but its still stuck in the boot loop showing APEX's logo and keeps on looping...i've removed the sd card as well... any thoughts would be appreciated.

I got it.... I think.

Had to reboot into recovery and do a data/factory reset and cache reset.

what step did you take to do this please? did u use that rsd lite flash utility? i'm at that point too...only without the options to data/factory reset and cache reset... dont see those. much appreciated.

----------fixed. seems if you hold the power button and that home key it'll take you to clear the cache and factory reset...woohoo. now to root again.

OK, I'm a little out of touch with the Android world, I haven't really been on the forums in a month or two. So, an eternity. Please excuse me if I'm being an idiot.

When I check my phone status, my version is listed as .320 but if I check for updates I have nothing. Does VZ not update rooted phones, or are they rolling this out gradually?

Thanks.

I never received any updates from them when my phone was rooted. We always get the leaked update ahead of time anyways from the developers.... why wait for Verizon.;)

Thanks. I got bored and installed apex last night just to make myself feel like I had a better grasp on all things Android. I LIKE it! But that's neither here nor there...

So I can't just install this like normal? Via bootstrap? I have to use RSDlite? What is that? Can someone explain?

No, you can't use bootstrap for the SBF. The .340 (froyo rom) SBF comes in handy if you want to return your phone back to factory conditions. Very useful if your phone is bricked or is in an unusable state..example... you can't get past the boot screen. RSD lite is a program you install on your computer in order to use the SBF.
If your phone is in working condition and you can still access clockwork recovery through rom manager or bootstrap, and would like to return to Verizon's factory conditions... I recommend using the Maderstcok .340 zip. You can flash it just like any other rom and it will bring you back to Verizon's factory settings..just like you bought it from the store. Its 4a in the first post, here: http://forum.androidcentral.com/mot...ooting-backing-up-installing-custom-roms.html

So I can't get the updates!?

I can't speak for others but I never received any notifications of updates. I also deleted a lot of Verizon's system files and apps instead of freezing them... so that was most likely the cause. I really wasn't worried about returning my phone back to stock or receiving OTA updates.... luckily enough we now have the full .340 sbf and a .340 zip thanks to the developers that we can return to stock if we screwed something up.

So I'm avin an issue wit my phone, I tried to install the simply stunning rom and for some reason Im stuck at the Liberty screen. Ive been able to get to the android system recovery screen and ave wiped data and cache to no avail , I've also gotten to the bootloader ready to program screen and RSDlite shows my phone but wen I go to push start it immediately goes to failed any help would be awesome

ok seemed to ave fixed the issue wit RSDLite, I just went to my gf netbook and put what I needed on it and so far it seems to be working

I'm going to have to ask the stupid question.... this IS rootable correct? My phone has gotten super glitchy at times and I was going to SBF to unroot my phone, reroot it and start over. Now I'm ASSUMING that since this is still froyo it should be rootable, I just wanted to make absolutely sure before I went through all the trouble.
