Official "Phone by Google" (Pixel dialer) works with Note 10+ and I almost switched to it...

If it wasn't for the lack of Caller ID integration in the Recents screen on the Pixel dialer. Otherwise, from my brief experimenting with it, the integration to the system is pretty good and is a fresh change if that is what you are after.

The search feature in the Pixel dialer works a lot more as expected. If you search for "CGI" for example, any contact's name beginning with "CGI" will appear at the top of the search results.

In the Samsung dialer, it will take all contacts containing "CGI" in any field and in any part of that field and then sort the entire list by contact name (which usually makes absolutely no sense when it comes to relevancy.)

one great thing I loved about my original Pixel was when a call came in that I did not recognize I could tap a button and the caller was able to type in a text message as to who they were and what they wanted. Does this dialer have that ability?

I'm pretty sure things have changed since this thread. Phone by Google will have Caller ID and Spam/Scam filter etc... What it will not do, at least on my Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, is that Samsung will not allow full integration into the Android software. I can't dial the *#06#, or any shortcut with Phone by Google app. It will return an error message. Also I haven't been able to make something other than the built-in Hiya with Samsung the default Caller ID and Spam app. That's what I like about Phone by Google, you just turn it on in settings and it starts identifying calls, callers, and Spam/Scam.

That said, can anyone highly recommend a Caller ID and Spam app to work with Samsung Phone, since Android 12 removes Hiya? This is the only reason I like my other non-Samsung Android phone. Everything is well integrated, and frankly one really doesn't need to look further for different same functioning apps. Thanks.

Well so much for Phone by Google on my main Galaxy A32 5G, it just went dead completely. I know these things happen so I'm just going to return it and get another one.

Funny thing that Caller ID and Spam by Hiya on the Samsung phone app completely disappeared. It's still Android 11. Anyone have feedback on this?
