You know I've never really done side-by-side tests with different launchers. Unless you have the RAM maxed out with open apps I would think that the launcher wouldn't make a difference, unless it happens to eat a lot of CPU cycles, and I've never looked to see if any of them do.

Gah, I'm so jealous of all your scores! I'm usually in the 1700-1800 range. I do have a lot of apps installed, but I run the benchmark after a reboot. If I run the benchmark back to back, the 2nd one is always the faster one. Something wrong with my phone?

Nope. That's right where stock should be. We're rooted running custom rom/kernel combos.

With 3G on, 1.5GHz, productivity index is 1523 and games index is 2039 (smartbench 2010) - I get higher index readings on 4G for some reason.

Using quadrant I got 2243, which is definitely higher than stock ROM.

I am rooted running CM7 (2.3.3), and have the CPU frequency set at 1516MHz, minimum 1017.

I will say this...CM7 with the "stock" kernel it comes with are the fastest combo I've tested. I've tried CM7 with other kernels, and they were slower (even though they clock higher), and I tried different governors.

Right now I'm on Royal Mint (a gingerbread sense leak port) and it's also slower. I expected that, but honestly not as much slower as it is. I'm not saying the phone is sluggish, because it's not. The difference is only noticable on benchmarks.

For a stck phone those are about right.
