Official Samsung Flip Case Turns Screen Off

So I just got my samsung s8 and love it but when I'm recording a video and I close the cover or the case flip gets too close it turns off the screen and ends the recording. Same with wanting to take pictures quickly i cant with the case closed.

Any ideas or apps that can help?

Unfortunately thats the purpose of the case. You've got to leave the cover open to take pics or video.

I have one on the way as a 3rd case. Different needs, different case.

Probably a long shot, but maybe try Advanced Features > Accessories > Automatic unlock.

My folio case by Samsung w/it's 10,000% markup by Verizon does not turn off the phone when you close it. Great case.
