IF it is actually available mid Sept., it will be a just a few weeks ahead of the iPhone 5 on Sprint. Had this phone been released earlier I'd be owning it. Major Samsung FU-"too big to fail" syndrome IMHO by going head to head with Apple.

Now I'll wait a couple weeks to see what the the iPhone has to offer.:-\

My daughter has an iphone...I've used it a fair bit and spent some time basically playing with it.

If you want something that just works, is kinda mundane / boring, something you can download lots of apps for but can't customize, something you can't pull the battery on or have a spare battery for...it's a nice, non eventful phone.

If you like experimenting, tinkering, tweaking and changing....android has it all over the iP

That is exactly how I feel.
If the stupid Ipad's were not so expensive, I would almost always rather have an IPAD2 and an Android... For now, I will make do with an HP Touchpad, an Asus EEPAD Transformer, and an EPIC 4g...

(sigh)...I do not want to buy another Iphone after all of this suing fiasco with Apple...I'll never buy another one of their products for a long, long time...

I have this feeling that the Iphone 5 screen will not have such pretty colors/contrast as a super AMOLED plus display...

I agree with all of you that the Iphone feels very restricted....one thing that also always bothered me was the fact that Apple doesn't want you to watch porn on your Iphone, so they disabled flash!!!

BTW...Do you all know when Apple will release it's new specs for the Iphone 5????

Rumors say Apple will hold its next event on September 7th, and will most surely detail their plans there. But like you said, I'm ready to salivate on some S AMOLED+ hotness.
