Official update for Revue?

I'm comforted by the fact that we're within two days of the promised completion of all of the Revue updates, so my moment is just getting closer and closer. I now only check for the update every 5 minutes, or so.

I really like the update. Much smoother UI and I like the ability of having the market ( even though there is nothing really in there yet). Slightly better than it was before. Still its a good update.

Just installed the update (OTA). I freaked out a little at first, because I went directly to the market, and every app was showing as not compatible. Then I rebooted and everything was fine. This is now worth the $99, IMO.

I have a brand new Revue in box that I bought for my oldest son for Christmas. I also ordered another one
for my bedroom from Best Buy, but I just got the e-mail that it is backordered and may not make it in time for Christmas. You have no idea how bad I want to hook his up to see if it will get new update...If i knew the backordered one would make it here in time for Christmas, I would have it fired up in a second!

Finally got the update at 9am this morning. Really liking the entire layout and functionality . I did have to reboot the Revue in order to get Google Music to install. Before reboot it kept saying it was not compatible with the Revue,

Woke up today at 8am in San Diego and it was waiting to update on the screen. Installed in less than 5 minutes. Mine also needed to reboot before install certain apps.

just a general consensus to everyone who has gotten the update...did you buy the revue at full price or at $99???

I purchased mine for $99 and had the update waiting this morning.

I was also able to put the amazon appstore on there.

Portland, OR. Got the update yesterday evening. Purchased first day on sale for $99.

Yes, after update you have to manually reboot in order to install apps from market.

One issue though: Logitech media player plays mkv movies but only image is running, no sound. It worked just fine with 2.1. Now no sound???? WTF. Is anyone else experiencing this? (I play them from the usb storage)

Has anyone else considered the option at this point of just yanking the thing and throwing it at a wall? Or is it just me?

This thing has been less then as wonderful as I hoped for when I bought it and this update has been being dangled like bait forever.

My love/hate relationship with android.

I am really starting to agree with this sentiment. We are all clearly this interested in the update because we're all not that enthusiastic about this thing in the first place. No tabbed browsing, a clunky os... for a hundred bucks I didn't expect it to revolutionize the way I watch tv or surf the web but quit yanking me around at least.

Ask for a refund and go to CompUSA, they have tons in stock; I'm sure they also have it online.

Received notice of the update about 3AM today, Seems to have installed okay but have not had time to play with it. Park City Utah

Apparently I got the update this morning; supposedly you get the message on the screen but my wife didn't tell me anything about it. I didn't check into Settings>About>System Update until Noon, was very surprised I have it actually since I got my Revue 2 weeks ago.

Funny thing is I didn't get any e-mail about the update; I'm in South FL close to Ft. Lauderdale.

Nicer UI, seems a bit faster too, especially when using Chrome which makes a big difference. The Market was not available immediately even after rebooting, but it took almost about 2 hours; the screen started showing Notifications about updating apps like Pandora. I haven't had much time to play with it since my wife has a visit from a friend of hers and the Revue is in the living room, I'm stuck!

Got my update this afternoon in Arkansas.
Installed Launcher Pro and it works pretty good. Gotta try other launchers....
Most game apps I tried was sloooooooow. Angry Frogs played nicely though..
Much better interface than the original.
