Oh, hey guys, just a Galaxy Note.

The Skyrocket is just as fast, the screen looks just as good (in my everyday use) and it's a hell of a lot lighter. I'm all about using the latest and greatest, and using the Note didn't feel like a big leap forward compared to my Skyrocket. It's literally bigger, but it didn't feel like a new phone, just a bigger, heavier version of what I already had. I didn't need a bigger phone, but I was, of course, curious. I ordered the Galaxy Nexus the other night, and I am patiently awaiting it's arrival. I'll sell one of the Skyrockets, and move on from there.

The Note is my first android phone. I used iPhone for almost four years and had a negative opinion of android devices in general, mostly I think from the growing pains and plethora of devices. In December I switched to HTC Titan, a windows phone. 4.7" screen. I liked the phone and the build quality but wp7 let me do less than iPhone. At least my iPhone was jail broken. A friend recently got a Galaxy S2 and I realized the possibilities. When I discovered the Note was coming I couldn't wait. The international reviews were favorable and I already am a satisfied AT&T customer.
I have to say I love it. I am not a giant but I'm a big guy. This phone does not feel too large for me. It doesn't look that ridiculous up to my head (although I've made like 3 calls and I did pick up a bt headset). I'm enjoying the android os and i like the connectivity choices.
On the plus side I got it for $250 from best buy with some promotion they're running, I already had an unlimited data plan, and I got $365 for the Titan on eBay.
So its been a good transition. I picked up he vehicle dock so now I have a brand new 5.3" GPS unit as well.
I think the size is subjective. Its definately not for everybody. But I think some reviewers blew it out of proportion. Screens keep getting bigger. Its all about what you can be comfortable with.
