In the stock gallery, I click to delete and it acts like it deleted, but it didn't. Also, when I click the pencil icon to edit, it says "this file type is not supported". Oh.... And I cannot attach photos to text messages!!
I Would never let storage get to below 10% - or more.Hi,
I too am having the same issue on my S7 Edge.
Some details I have noticed are:
This problem only started for me yesterday; I can still delete photos taken before yesterday.
Also if I change the storage location from SD card to internal storage the issue persists.
I also cannot edit the photos using the stock gallery app and am given the error message 'This file type is no supported'.
Also when on camera, the thumbnail for the gallery does not display the most recent photo taken as it should do but displays the error icon (mountains with an exclamation mark.)
I have noticed the Gallery app recently crashing more often than before.
I am able to delete the photos in the My Files app and also through Google Photos. However, when I deleted photos using Google Photos it left grey photos with an exclamation mark in their place and these could still not be deleted!
None of my photos are set to sync or upload to any cloud storage so the issue is not related to this.
I have about 1GB free space on my SD card and over 30GB free internal storage.
I have tried rebooting the phone and clearing the cache partition, and running in safe mode but still no hope.
i talked to samsung. they told me my software didn't match up and i needed to either dl it w/ a PC and do it myself or go to a samsung "experience" or something and gave me a nearby location.
i fixed it myself - i did a wipe of the device, started fresh, and all is fine now

SIMPLE FIX!
1. Go to Setting
2. Type in Samsung Cloud
3. Open Samsung Cloud
4. Click Gallery
