I installed one of the new JB roms from rootzwiki. I'm using CWM and when I went to install in the rom it had some error and I used the up/down arrows and the power button to select install from SD card and installed the ROM. Now it's on a screen reboot, install, etc. but when I select reboot and push the power button it just turns the screen on and off. It will not allow me to select anything. How do I fix this?

You have to keep trying to press the back button. It's because you don't have the touch recovery, but the regular recovery, and that's a real pain in the ass. Keep trying to get out by pressing around (no other way to describe it really)...or just pull the battery out, put it back in, and say a prayer.

ummm i would keep trying. go to another screen then go back?

if you can't get power to select anything, you might need to do a battery pull, turn it back on in recovery mode, wipe everything again and reflash the rom. see if that works and get back - gl

This happens to me all the time. Your back button is disabled. I've found that basically toggling the volume keys will enable it

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Android Central Forums

Welp. Pulled the battery and it booted up like nothing ever happened. Guess I dodged a bullet on this one.

For future reference, push the volume up and down at the same time. My guess is the you had a case on...maybe a tpu case. When you thought you pushed one key, you actually pushed both and disabled back.

if your keys are disable, just press the up volume until it is reenabled. works for me all the time.
