The WI-FI death grip is on the top right corner. Not trying to put a damper on the HTC One because I love it. Just wanted to inform you guys.

Really? It works fine for me even when I put my hand on the top right corner of the device. But either way it doesn't matter, top right corner is better than both sides of a device. lol

Yeah, I'm not getting that at all.

It is kinda awkward to grip sometimes but while I was watching netflix I was holding part of the top right corner and I notice I was down 1 bar in wifi. Then I tried covering it as much as I can (since it is kinda awkward to grip it) and it drop down to 1 bar. I think I will post a video of it later. I have Sprint, maybe it is just a Sprint problem (highly doubt) but just want to let people know so they dont grip that part of the phone.

Totally agree. *cough* apple *cough* *cough* lol. But it is kinda awkward to grab. I just happened to notice when I was watching Netflix. It is just kind of a fore warning to not grab the corner.

Yeah I know. Thanks!

And yeah, the iPhone 4's death grip was hilarious. lol. I am glad they eliminated it in the 5. :)

After figuring out the death grips on the One and I sat there and thought "Apple made the 5 out of mostly aluminum...... they must of really made sure they didn't have those problems again" lol

I have the Sprint One as well, and after messing around with it I finally got down to 2 bars. It took some moving around the house and a few close calls where I almost dropped my device, but I got it :o

For you to have problems with these death grips though you must really hold the phone wrong since they are located on the corners of the phone.

Mine drops to one bar but then jumps back up, it's like a temporary death grip lol. But I don't give a veal, my last phones death grip was when I place it in panoramic view! **** that pissed me off!

HTC One > Galaxy 4 > IPhone 5

Amazing... It really does happen. Mine goes from full bars to none as soon as I hold the corner.
In a weird way I like it though, like it's a flawed genius of something.

Could be a problem when holding the phone in landscape though as you tend to hold all four corners when doing so.

I can't get my wifi signal to budge no matter how I hold it. Maybe I'll go to a weak signal part of the house and try it.

My device doesn't appear to be impacted by this at all. Absolutely no change in wireless signal at all.

Ya I've actually never had this happen or really noticed a problem and if you are trying to find a way of holding it that will cause problems then shame on you.

Isn't a "death grip" when you hold something as tightly as you possibly can? Who would hold a phone that way?

I'm not trying to find problems. I was doing what Sincs said above. I was holding all four corners, since I was watch Netflix, and I tapped the screen and notice my wifi signal was lower than usual. And being the curious person I am, I tested it and was able to confirm the wifi death grip.

I tried holding the lower right corner of my One and my wiener fell off. I'm not worried about my Wi-Fi at this point.
