so i went today to pre order the evo and at best buy it was only showing that I was only going to get $75 off on june 1st not the full $150. So I go home and started a chat session with sprint. They say that my number is not the main number and not able to get the sprint premier upgrade. I tell them that I had changed that a long time again.

Well they were able to see that I have called in many time about this and said they will be able to fix this for me.

What they did is make my phone the primary but still left both phone able to be upgraded. The one that was the old primary will get the sprint premier upgrade on june1. I will only be able to get the $75 but they gave me a credit of $75 to make up for it.

So in the end I will be able to 2 phone upgraded to the evo. This is why I like sprint.

You do know that with the $75 off and the $75 credit the phone will cost you $300. The $75 upgrade does not make you eligible for the mail in rebate.

really, if that the case I will have to make sprint give me another 100 back then. I have the full chat in an email. Im going to stop by best buy tomorrow to make sure I can still get eh 100 off. If not im going to call sprint.

I may just have to upgrade on my other number for now then.

You will definitely have to call to have any hope of that $100. Best buy will only be taking $75 off the $450 retail for you. So $375. Sprint gave you $75, so $300. No instant rebate.

This happen to me last year when I got the Palm Pre. I knew I would be illegible for the 75$ off but I was hoping to get the rebate also. I paid a lot of money for that Pre but on a good note I never had one issue, I got a rock solid phone. I pre-ordered the Evo so I will be an official member of Android central.

ok so I go in back into bust buy to check this out an you all were right. They cant do the one year upgrade. So I call sprint back and let them know about this.

I called 877 775-4886 and got right to a good rep. Told him what I wanted to do and that it would not work at best buy. I just asked that my phone be able to get the full upgrade. He told me he will look into and put me on hold. After about 4 mins he comes back and tells me that my phone is able to get the full $150 upgrade right now and sure enough its eve show it on the site. Due to all my problems both phone are upgradeable right now.

Thank you very much sprint. I now have 2 lines that will be getting the evo.
