Ok Google Not working after August update

Ok google voice activation isn't working on my unlocked S8 after the August update was applied. The assistant can't read from my screen either.

Anyone else having this issue?

Are you using Bixby as well? If you try to use OK Google after you've tried to use Bixby, it won't work until you restart the device. Try restarting and then try again.

Man that sucks. I have a Verizon device with the update and I don't have that problem. I guess that's just another reason for me not to get an unlocked model.
