"Ok Google" Slower on Home WiFi when Pixel is asleep??

Notice when screen is off and connected to home WiFi google assistant is very slow. Phone unlocks normally but I dont see my words on the screen for several seconds then it will execute the command. Process can take up to 20 seconds for the response.
Works fine when screen is lit on home WiFi?
No problem on LTE.
Happening on 2 Pixel XL's in the house.
Have Fios internet.
