All the sudden I noticed mine isn't working when I speak Hey Google. It keeps shutting itself off and when I go under settings and voice I see it turn itself back on but then it still doesn't work. It's like it keeps shutting off and when I open back up I can see it toggle to on. Can somebody help me? Thanks!

Go to the Google app in play store and uninstall the update. If you are in the Beta version leave it and install the public release version.
I had that issue on my Pixel 4a and the above procedure solved it. After I left the beta program for this app I installed the public update and Assistant worked just fine. I have a thread in the Pixel 4a forum about having this issue and the solution suggested by Mustang7757.

Thanks for replying! I haven't had a chance to do it yet I'll do it in the morning.

So I am in the Beta it says but I don't see a public one it says similar apps available google go is that it? Well I don't see how to opt out of Beta but I did do uninstall updates under apps and Google lets see if that helped.

Edit: That didn't work but I see now in the app store leave beta program so I clicked on it. But I still only see the one google and now it says update since I uninstalled updates but I am guessing don't do anything with that.

Uninstall the Google beta updates then leave the Google app beta program. Then wait for awhile. Check on the Google app and it should not indicate that it's a beta version. Then install the update.

Thanks! I uninstalled the beta update and left the beta it says it might take a few minutes.

Ok now it says Beta version is still installed you might want to uninstall and reinstall this app should I do that or just update it now cause it doesn't say Beta anymore?

Edit: Thanks for your help I went to my apps and Google and forced stopped and now it's working so I'm guessing I can just update in the play store since it doesn't say Beta anymore since it's working? Or should I still uninstall and reinstall like it said? Thanks Again!

Just update as usual. I'm glad it's now working for you.
I also found my phone is working faster than it did on the beta version.

It was working fine and I left my house and got in the car and now it's not working again that is so weird but anyway I'm going to try to update the app I guess and see what happens. Or uninstall and reinstall. There's also a setting that says allow this app to modify system settings should that be on or off? I turned it off just now.

Edit: well I turn that setting off and it just worked so I'll see how it goes the rest of the day and I'm still going to update real quick thank you!

Sorry but I have to edit again it quits working again I did the update maybe I should have uninstalled and reinstalled. But it's still doing the same thing now I don't get it I tried to force stop it again I rebooted my phone. I turned that system thing off. Maybe there's another app interfering. sorry but sometimes it works and sometimes it don't and I just retrained my voice and it started working. So I'll just see what happens the rest of the day since I'm headed to work.

I've been having this same issue for a few days now on my S21U. After uninstalling the Google app update all is fixed! Thank you so much.

Mine worked all night yesterday I tested it while at work and I just tested it now and it's ok for now. I need it cause I use it a lot when my phone is in the car dock while driving.

Sorry if I'm not doing this right I have never posted on here before. I have a Samsung s21 Plus and have done everything you said to get my Google voice to stop turning itself off. It actually worked for about an hour and then started doing it again. I checked Google and the updates were still turned off. Do you have any more suggestions. I have been using Bixby sometimes because it hasn't been working and I needed to be able to be able to voice call. I turned Bixby off so I don't think that's the problem.
