***MODS YOU MAY REMOVE THIS THREAD IF YOU CHOOSE. I SOLVED MY OWN PROBLEM***

Probably been solved for many people but I'm just getting pissed off....

First off. GSM Gnex, running stock 4.0.2 on Rogers. I just unlocked it this afternoon (after spending most of the morning trying to find a combination of curses, coffee, cigarettes, and drivers that works). However now that I'm attempting to flash 4.0.4 I just get "waiting for device". Again.

So I'm confused. If I could unlock it with the drivers, why can't those same drivers allow me to flash to 4.0.4? I've tried multiple methods from multiple sites (mostly between here and XDA Developers). So yeah... a little help?

I'm using Gnex Toolbox if that matters. (Its what I finally got to unlock my phone). I'm kinda shying away from a full root until I get a little more comfortable with flashing, but I guess if I'm gonna go down that road I'll need to research different ROMS.... which will be another thread for another day.....

Do I just need to do the drivers song and dance again and again and again until it magically works? I can't remember what I did that it finally unlocked it :(

**EDIT** I have all contacts and info backed up. The few apps I added in the past few weeks are not critical and easily downloaded again. So its only a minor inconvinience to wipe and loose what is on my phone, should I have to do that again. Guess I'll hunt down all the phone drivers on my computer, wipe them out, and start again (maybe with SDK this time?). Will update.....

It appears even though I managed to unlock it, it is not recognized when in fastboot. I'm going to go through my computer and get rid of all the SDK tools, Gnex Toolkit, Galax Nexus Toolbox, etc. Going to do my best to get rid of any/all drivers related to the Gnex. And start from scratch. Is it REALLY this hard or am I just fudging up something simple that should be a 30 minute job????? (I have a feeling its the drivers. I really do)

OK, I got rid of any trace of any android modding/flashing/drivers off my computer. Decided to start with Galaxy Nexus Rooting tool. I managed to flash from 4.0.2 yakuux to 4.0.2 yakju. (as a test).

Next up, gonna go for 4.0.4 yakju (I just hope that I do see some benefit from battery and signal life....)

***less then 20 minutes after I posted this, I'm on 4.0.4. I have no clue why I couldn't get it to work before. Probably because I missed something simple. Oh well.... on 4.0.4. If the mods decide to leave this thread up, I'll try to come back and leave my comments about yakju 4.0.4 as compared with stock yakuux 4.0.2. And if the mods take it down because I solved my own issue.... well I guess I won't!***
