is there a reason for not just using the leaked mr2 update that everyone says fixes all the problems ?? whats the down fall to just doing that ?? On a side not since installing a APP called Memory booster i have not had a single reboot . before that i was up to 2 a day most days . not saying this will fix everyones reboot issue but it seems to have cured mine .

It wipes your phone. I have a lot of apps and each has its own settings so it is hours of work to get the phone back the way i like it. I'll wait..... Unless a 4g moto alternative comes out in time for me to bail out of htc without paying more for data.

I just got off the phone with VZW tech support. They are sending me a replacement and I asked about the update. He sounded like he read off a script. He said HTC has identified the issue ans mid July update should fix it. Not sure of that's the golden egg or not

Agreed, those were his words, not mine. I'm guessing he is saying it's delayed from some internal target date that he knew about.

Given how widespread this issue is, I'm a bit suprised that whatever they are testing now (reportedly on the 4th candidate for an official RC2) hasn't leaked yet. But yes they usuallly leak sometime before they are pushed.

This phone has been a complete disaster as far as releases go. First all the delays to even release the phone, then they release an update that causes random rebooting, and now Gingerbread is delayed...wait I don't care because I'm running CM7
