Ok Now I feel very stupid!

How do I get the headset/ear buds to work. I thought I just plug it into the phone & it would work.....well NO....and nothing in the manual says a *&^% thing about it....so I guess its so simple, a simpleton can do it. Am I missing something....God I feel mental!, can't even figure out ear buds....

have you tried adjusting the volume using the controls on the side of the phone?

Play music on the phone. Then plug them in. If the audio stops on the phone and doesnt play on the headset then there could be a problem.
By testing this you are confirming the headphones are beeing seen by the phone.
Next try to adjust volume settings.
If that fails, try the headphones on a different device.
With the info given it could be several problems, phone issue, headset jack issue, headphones issue. Combination of several of them. More testing is needed.
