Ok to factory reset with root?

Is it ok if I do a factory data reset on my Verizon rooted LG G2 running stock? It has all of a sudden started freezing and running slow.

Doing a factory reset shouldn't remove root access. Go ahead.

Totally fine, I just did mine and root is still there.
