Ok i seriously need a new microsd card

Suggestions people? I'm looking for the 32gb card.. and faster than 1x would be great..

MicroSD cards are not rated in "x", instead by Class # which directly corolates to write speed. So a Class 2 writes 2 Mbps, Class 4 writes 4 Mbps, etc.

If you have a lot of money, I heard 32MB Class 6 cards might be available. But for about $80 on Amazon, I got a 16GB Class 6 card which improved overall performance. I've heard there might be Class 10 cards, too, but those might be restricted to SD's only (not MicroSD).

Not funny. We are here to learn together. I always heard a class4 will be good enough.

I never knew the whole class thing but my card is 16gb class 2, I've never had any issues with the pictures coming up for accessing anything, I never once thought it was quote unquote slow...

I am looking to spend under a 100 bucks, is that reasonable? Even if its 100 dollars exactly is don't mind. Any direct links to a reputable seller/website would be highly appreciated. Thanks. Again please do NOT link me to ebay.

did u see my other post?

i have a class 2 and i have no issues with speed of the card...

ive never seen any issues with saving or doing anything.

save yourself some money, class 2 is fine for everday usage.

as for ebay, ive bought thousands of dollars of stuff and sold many things on ebay, just gotta pay attention to who your buying from via feedback and how new it is.

ebay is a great place to by, just have to pay attention.

Buying sd cards off of ebay is never a good idea. There are just to many knock offs floating around for it to be worth the risk of buying a knock off. Just spend the money on a card from a reputable business.

I think 32gb class 2 is currently the highest, I picked one up for 100 right after they we being sold at Verizon and havent had any issues yet and I have had it a while now. Dont buy one off the internet buy it in store in person. Supposedly to make it they had to shave down 4 8gb wafers to make the 32gb and they claim the technology itself it almost maxed out for that size.

The EVO ships with a Class 2 card (the minimum speed). Higher Class speeds help with recording 720p video (less "choppy") and loading/saving files -- especially ROMS. If you move apps to the SD card, they'll also load faster. No, you don't NEED to get a faster card, but they're worth it if you have the money.

I recommend searching Amazon.com as a more reliable site for MicroSD cards and sort by cost. That way you'll see what they have and pick your poison.

You'll hardly notice a difference with a higher class sd card on hd recording and loading apps. The only difference you'll notice is when moving files to and from the sd card.
Class 2 = 2mb/s write speed. How many apps do you have that are significantly over 2mb? And the hd video on the Evo records at less than 2mb/s.

Ok im convinced to get the card from Amazon. I never bought anything from there before, how do I know if the seller is reputable?

Amazon itself is reputable. Unfortunately, when I checked into it, Amazon wasn't selling the 32gb micro SD themselves. I grimaced and bought one from Blue Proton (I'd ordered an SD card from Blue Proton before about a year ago), and I've installed the card on my EVO, and it is working fine and has the advertised capacity. When I bought, Blue Proton orders were fulfilled by Amazon, which I viewed as further evidence that Blue Proton wasn't a fly-by-night. For any vendor, you may want to check the customer satisfaction stats on Amazon.

Well I was going to get the class 6 32gb card but then I saw they don't take Paypal :( or even bill me later. Ok guys any other website that's reputable that sells this and takes Paypal? Ill, settle for the class 2.

I'm so dossapointed because I had the perfect item. A classic 6 32gb card. Dammit!
