Do you want a cheap / slow class 2 or do you want more speed for HD video smoothness, faster file loading, etc?

I run a Lexar Class 10 -32GB card I got from Amazon. The faster cards are more $$ but are miles faster than class 2......even a class 4 is very noticeably faster than a class 2, well worth it.

I noticed with my class two that videos at the higher resolution would write to the internal memory but I don't have that issue with the faster card.

Can check eBay for it. Usually have good pricing

Greetings,
I chose a frugal route. I just picked up a Patriot 16GB Class 10 Micro SD card from Fry's for $21.99 (after a $5 rebate).

I've been searching for a guide to migrate from my HTC Incredible's 2GB SD card to the new 16GB SD card. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thx.

There are two simple ways to move things from your 2gb card to the new 16gb card....

One, simply hook your phone up to your computer via usb cable, select the drive that is your phone's card and then copy entire thing to a file on your desktop. Then unplug phone, unmount the 2gb card and remove, then insert the new 16gb card and format it via the phone menu. Then hook back to computer and copy that folder you just made onto the new card and you're done.

Two, use some form of card readers to do the same. Just remember to unmount the microsd before removing from phone, and format the new card in FAT32 format.

Thanks for the quick reply zrxoa1! I attempted your first method already. I was unable to copy the contents of the SD card partition.

Initially I planned to use Acronis True Image to image each of the phone's partitions. Unfortunately Acronis did not recognize the phone's SD card partition.

This all may be due to a WinXP OS limitation. I will attempt the copying with my Win7 PC.

Sho 'nuff, I was dealing with antiquated PC OS/hardware limitations. My old XP PC does not have a card reader and neither the old or new SD card were visible using a USB SD card reader. XP also prevented me from copying the SD partition while the phone was plugged in via USB cable.

I used your second method zrxoa1, on my Win7 PC which has a card reader. Worked like a charm. Btw zrxoa1, did you ever purchase a 32GB SD card? And sry for hijacking your thread. :-[

Thanks again zrxoa1!
