"Okay Google" Just Stopped Working [Solved]

Have been running a Sprint Note 9 for over a year and have been using Google Assistant continuously, especially with Android Auto. Until today.

Today, Okay Google stopped working. No changes to phone at all.

I tried retraining voice in the assistant, but it can't hear me when it prompts me to to say Okay Google.

I tried following the instructions on a YouTube video to make sure Bixby Voice is off, but encountered another problem. When I pull up Bixby by double clicking the button, it prompts me to update Bixby (and I cannot access settings, etc.) When I try to update it, Bixby simply turns off and I go back to home screen.

Can anyone help with this? Very frustrating.

Can start with resetting app preference
To do that go phone settings>apps tap>3 Dots upper right corner tap>scroll to app reset preference, if don't work we can continue to other steps

Should of said restart the phone after , can still do that , after check once again . If that don't work long press Google app tap info>go to storage clear cache,data if available and then force close it

Thank you again, Mustang. Clearing cache and data has Assistant working again. I will use as normal tomorrow and report back either way.
