Okay to take 5.1.1 update (vzw) when unencrypted?

Title says it all. I unencrypted right away, Will I mess anything up if i take the ota? Should i just download the image from google and flash the system.img?

No you should be fine go ahead and update. If your worried about it then wait while but the update is designed to work with the Google architecture so it should be just fine.
