Hey guys so i just setup my new htc inspire and had att use there transfer device to send over my contacts but they are hidden somewhere on the phone and cant find them in my regular contacts. but if i enter a name it comes up..... anyone know of a solution to this thanks

Did you try clicking on the People icon and then hitting Menu and then View. It will bring up a lists of all where all the contacts are located such as Google, Facebook, Sim and Phone. Hope this helps.

they are not there at all is there away i cant take out alll my facebook contacts i manged to find a folder named phones with them in it tho is there a way to import to contacts/ people

What make and model phone did you import from? What type of files are those in that phone folder?

My old phone was a blackberry torch 9800 and it dosent say what type of files they are. it just opens up with the list of names from my old contact list

Don't think the file format is compatible. I went from a curve to aria and had to re enter my contacts manually :(

Ya I spent a few hours doing it. Bb device saved contacts only transfer to bb's. Best thing to do now is save contacts to google contacts or your sim card.

how do i transfer them to google from the folder ???

I'm not sure on this because I don't know the details of your file type, etc., but it might be something to look into. Perhaps if you download the file to your computer via usb, you could search the net and possibly find a way to either sync to google or windows contacts. (provided you're on a PC) TThere may even be a program that will convert the file type. If that doesn't cover it, you may have to just re-enter everything. That sucks, but if you do it in google, you should never have to in the future to change phones. It will all be stored in the "cloud".
