No, I don't think that's normal. You'll need to do some sleuthing to try to figure out the issue, though. You might want to download GSAM battery monitor and/or System Panel to see what apps / processes are using cpu.

I also notice in the first shot that the GPS is in use. You might want to look into what's using that. If you've got a bunch of location functions and checkins enabled that can use a lot of battery.

Yeah. I do have a couple weather applications that use my location and update every hour. But you know, that's about it as far as I know. But those are a necessity for me. So I will see how it goes today. I got a darker wallpaper and turned haptic feedback off. I will see what happens.

a 1 hour update for a weather app shouldn't do this. Although most weather apps can find your location based on cell tower, and don't need GPS. You might want to check the settings for those apps. That's not the location activities I was referring to, though.

Go into Settings, scroll down to accounts and tap on Google, Then tap on Maps and Latitude. Make sure Report from this device, Enable location sharing, Automatic check-ins and Check-in notifications are all unchecked, unless you really need them. These things can eat up battery for both the GPS and the cellular radio.

You might want to tap Location, and uncheck either or both options there, as you see fit, too. I don't think they use much power, though.

Under Settings / Location Services, you might try unchecking GPS and see what effect that has. You'll need to turn the GPS on manually when you want to route, but most other location services will work fine using just the wireless network.
