Old Phone -- What are you doing with them?

I have a Fascinate which I would hardly get anything for if I tried to sell it. I cleared out all the apps and widgets from my home screen, along with the shortcuts on the dock except for the app drawer (LauncherPro). Hid the notification bar and put the phone in Airplane mode, then downloaded a few games for my sons to play. Keeps them busy & out of each others hair while we're in the car. I'll prob pick up another SD card for it so that I can put a few movies on there for them.

I traded my wife's Incredible 2 awhile back to Amazon for $156, I paid $200 for it. I just did the same thing with my Incredible 2. Pretty damn good trade in price if you ask me.

My Fassy is my new Alarm clock. Never worry about not having power. It is always on time.

Plus gonna be putting Jelly Bean on it, once AOKP gets it working.

Used Samsungupgrade.com to trade in my rezound for 220.. Would not make much more than this on ebay or Craigslist...

its a htc thunderbolt so holding on it for a back up, loved that phone and have it fully rooted running cm7. And unless something major changes with vzw, i still have unliminted internet, i will never be renewing my vzw account again.

Thought about keeping my DX as a wifi device, and to use the GPS (with cached google maps) and mp3 player when I run and bike... but my sister had a friend looking to buy a smart phone off contract, so I sold it to her for $75 with car dock, media dock, and a couple cases. Just dropped it off to her tonight. Kind of sad to see it go, it was my first and only smartphone before the S3, it served me well and was still working pretty well. But then I stepped outside and pulled over 40k download speed on speedtest, so I got over it pretty quickly. :D

I do have an old Moto V60 (which was a badass flip phone in college, it had a caller id screen on the outside!) and some POS Audiovox cameraphone with a camera so bad I might as well have carried a box of crayons around with me to draw pictures of things I saw... I think I'll stick those in the women's shelter donation bag that came with the S3. I will keep my Samsung Instinct (feature phone) as an mp3 player that I don't give a crap about anything happening to.

my thunderbolt is currently being used because im on vacation and my SIII is in its fedex box at home and will remain there until the bootloader is cracked or the developer phone comes out.

I just sold my 4 year old storm to a guy for the$75 .... it was in really good shape and I gave him 2 new batteries and a few decent cases .... I now have a week old dinc 2 to sell

practice rooting and learning all this jargon with my Dinc2. And also use it as a backup if anything happens. *knocks and kicks the wood*

My OG Dinc is a good alarm clock, GPS for the 2nd car, spare wifi/Google Voice phone.

I'll keep it for a little while anyway, until the batteries (I have 3) stop holding charges.

I just put Evervolv ICS on it and frankly, it's almost like a new phone now.

Great post! Having just upgraded my wife and I to the S3, and having a new baby, I LOVE the idea of the wireless webcam/monitor/security thing. Thanks in advance for wasting hours upon hours of my next few days! ;) Love it!

New development: A coworker of mine explained he wants a 3G Android phone the size of an iPhone. He always liked my HTC DROID Incredible, so he offered me $100 for it. I explained that it is two years old, but he knows how well I take care of my gadgets. I handed it over running CM7.

Samsung Upgrade is supposedly going to mail me $200 for my LG Spectrum, so selling my last two phones covered the cost and upgrade fee of my SGS3.

Best Buy gave me $400 for my GNex because I bought their "Buy back" plan.

I sold my 1.5 year old iPhone 4 on craigslist for $300.
I babied that thing so It was in an immaculate condition.
Keep your phone clean; it will pay up in the end.
