This is probably a dumb question but will the wireless charger that I got as a freebie with the Note 7 charge at 25W if powered by the 25W charger? It's model EP-PG950.

that is a good question. my older one works well enough, but I'm not sure if I can even swap my cord out for the other. might need an adapter. could be worth testing.

I doubt it since along with the adapter the wireless charger also should support to handle that much power.

my TYLT is only 12v so the answer for me is no. need to look at the newer ones. it still charges very quickly though.

Agree! I wouldn't connect a more powerful adapter to a wireless charger which was not designed for that power. It will heat up and finally will get burned. But you could still use the wireless charger with its original adapter or similar in order to charge your Note 10/10+.

I don't understand your question

If I plug the 25W charger that came with the phone into my current wireless charger would it charge the phone at 25W or is the output limited by the ability of the wireless charger. Hmmm - that sounds more confusing than my original question.

That makes sense. With that explanation it's a safety issue more than how fast the phone gets charged in the old wireless charger.

Thanks, everyone, for clearing this up for me.

if I may, has anyone found a brand name qi wireless pad that charges at 12w (my TYLT Vu) or above? I need something for the bedroom and don't want a stand.

If you just search Amazon for "12W wireless charger" you'll find a few options. The Anker one is probably safe. Although at $30, that's getting to the point where you might as well buy a Samsung branded pad.

But yeah, like you I also prefer a pad-style charger. The 15 W stand is pretty cool, but it would be even better if it were a pad.

tried that and the best I came up with the search was an Anker 10w *eye roll*

yeah. I only want a pad because my night table is pretty wobbly and if I bumped it on a stand it would likely fall. I tend to thrash a bit in my sleep, covers etc., so I keep my phone resting on the pillow next to me while I stream and sleep. I wake up a lot and stream to go back to sleep so by morning it gets pretty low.

I like the stand style - have both the Pixel and 10+ stands next to bed and with AOD I can see the time during the night - IMO the 10+ stand is a little more "solid"

insomniac here. if there is anything visual... little blue lights, clocks, anything at all... I can't go back to sleep and I wake on average 4-7 times a night depending. I have no clocks, duct tape on all bright as the sun blue green or red indicator lights on anything in my bedroom, and foam covering any blue lit displays (micro in kitchen and portable a/c unit). sleep for me is elusive and broken at best. and I tend to wake after four hours and can't go back to sleep. if I do, I will continue to wake up.

Completely off topic but I'm also an insomniac and have found the one thing that works for me - CBD oil. It took a couple of weeks of use and my sleep increased from a broken 2-3 hours a night to a solid 6 hours. I forgot to replenish my supply yesterday and I spent a completely sleepless night last night. Just something worth considering.

I've decided to use my old "fast charge" stand for night time charging and the 25 watt charger to finish the job in the morning. This gives me a dual solution.

I was going to suggest CBD oil as well, drops under the tongue works best for me
