i was trying to get the old battery out before i order the new battery.

i didn't know how to get one of the cable out, i thought that it can be pulled out, but it was actually inserted! during the process, i think that i somehow semi-destroyed the connector (or whatever it is called.)

i think that it should still be good for the new battery. i just want to ask.

Yep, broken.
If you reinsert the cable it MIGHT work (if it was the cable for video, for example) but if it's a power connector I'd forget it.

The black part of the connector should flip up 90 degrees... Use a guitar pick and gently try to lift it.
The cracked part appears to be just the plastic... If your lucky it will work. After you reinsert the flat ribbon cable lock it in position by lowering the black lever. Good luck.
