That's what my contact at Google said. I'd be surprised if they were wrong.

Assuming this is correct, if you connect to the google play store using an US east coast proxy you could get it earlier on the west cost. I think this staggered time release would be terrible for the US, especially me since Easterners would get a whole 3 hours to purchase.

The phones are showing as available in the UK - but it is impossible to buy - the servers cannot cope

I understand that, but that time is nothing more than speculation. I have worked for companies that released electronic devices and a lot of the time the real time is never communicated to the phone support team.

Looks like they started selling at 8.12 am in Uk and had sold out of 16Gb by 8.32am........now showing both as unavailably .........shocking !!!

I'm a stupid canadian, and as usual here we can't get anything from Google as the others countries.
I stayed awake up midnight to buy the Nexus 4. And what? Won't be available before 9 o'clock pacific time.

I just ordered the 16 gb version! I'm in CA. Total was 393.


So excited!!!!! The Wallet Transaction page crashed a total of 3 times for me, but the order went through successfully. I'm so excited! ~~


Btw they didn't even email me yet that the nexus 4 was available! Hah! Looks like all the F5'ers got lucky

I'm in Toronto, Canada over here and the airhorn technique also secured me a N4 16GB! So thankful for that guy posting it. I even manage to secure it well before the crashes started to happen which were like 20 seconds into launch. I had completed in 8 seconds lol. And now both devices sold out in about 2-3 mins.
