so i rooted just fine and flashed the latest clockwork. i went to try and make a back up through clockwork and i didnt have the option at all.so i went to unroot so i could reinstall everything and it hung up for like 15 mins while trying to unroot.so i pulled the battery(dumb, i know) and now it wont boot past google logo. now i know theres a thread somewhere but i havent been able to find it(been looking for 3 hours) . basically i can boot into bootloader and then when i try to boot into recovery it shows the triangle, get past that and it gives me the option to install update, wipe cache or wipe dalvik, thats it. so my question is how do i flash that stock image back? thanks for your help in advance and sorry for asking this question again :P

Try Google one click stock nexus s 4g. 2 options are avaliable, 2 diffrent files to download 1 for stockGingerBread, and the other for stock Ice Cream Sandwich. Best of luck

Here is where you can get an update.zip file. Download and rename to update.zip Don't unzip. Transfer to sd select update.zip from whatever recovery you can get into. That should fix the stock recovery. I also got a good one click to root it and get everything on there right for you. I'll dig it up real quick

thats the thing though, i cant mount my storage cause it doesnt give me the option in recovery and my phone doesnt show up on windows(i have all the drivers installed)
Thanks for your response

Sorry I should have been more clear on that. You can still do it. Turn the phone off. Take the card out and put the file on it. Put the card back in and then boot it into recovery from a powered off phone. That will manually umount and mount your storage for you without damaging the card. DON"T FORGET to rename the file to update.zip. That is very important.

yeah wow i fell asleep on that one! Which one you got? Verizon, tmobile, or sprint?

Okay got it man!.. If you can get into bootloader, you can use this. Download and unzip. Open the file and run the one inside that says root. Just follow the directions on the screen. Let me know if it works for you

this is not letting me post a link for some reason. Post number four in this thread where I put that samba root tool kit link. That's what you want

Are you still wanting root?
At this point you should still be rooted and just need to do a backup. No need for stock now if you don't want to unroot

it still wont boot. im gonna try and push the factory images or can i just put it as a zip in the sd card and install?

If you have recovery there now just reflash the rom. If you need to you can just use adb to push everything as long as it is on the sd
