On android 4.2.2 how do I set storage default

Just got an SD card for my tab 4 how do I switch default storage to my SD card ? When I try to download more apps it says my device is full

You can only transfer parts of a app to your SD card. Can't put the whole app. What kind of phone are you using? So I can help you with moving your apps
