Hello, Galaxy S7 with oreo, and when I'm viewing all my apps, the top search bar for searching my phone doesn't work. It does on my wife's phone. What could be some causes?

What are you doing and what's happening? If you tap the search bar, does a keyboard come up? If you type the name of an app, does anything happen? "Doesn't work" doesn't tell us enough to be able to help you. "Does this, does that, then doesn't do this" does.
Nothing happens. I click on it and no menu popup, nothing. Clicking on the microphone makes the icon "blink" like android is recognizing my tapping on the icon, but either way, clicking on the search bar or microphone icon results in no action. This is only on my screen showing all apps (not my homepages).
