On Demand Now Playing

I'd like to use Now Playing occasionally. Not often enough to justify enablement of any always listening service. I can't find an icon for Now Playing. Is there any way to use it on demand (without enabling any always listening service)?

Anytime there's a song playing and you squeeze your pixel for the Assistant and it pops up, one of the options to click at the bottom is what's playing?
